AIDA and OIC Youth Indonesia Distribute 500 Qurban Meat Packages to Communities in Need in Bogor and Sukabumi Regencies

Bogor and Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia, 29 May 2026 – In commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1447 H/2026, the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA), operating under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in cooperation with OIC Youth Indonesia, carried out a qurban slaughtering and meat distribution program for communities in need in West Java, Indonesia.
Within the framework of the program, three cows were slaughtered in Bogor Regency, and a total of 500 packages of beef were distributed to beneficiary communities in two locations: Cicadas Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, and Kampung Bunder, Cimanggis Village, Cicantayan District, Sukabumi Regency.

In the technical implementation on the ground, OIC Youth Indonesia worked with Wakaf Al Azhar and Rumah Wakaf Indonesia as implementing partners to support the slaughtering, cutting, packaging, and distribution of the qurban meat packages, ensuring that the assistance was properly delivered to the intended beneficiaries.

The first distribution point was held at Majelis Baitussaadah, RT 03/RW 02, Jl. Pancasila II, Cicadas Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency. The qurban meat packages were handed over by Astrid Nadya Rizqita, President of OIC Youth Indonesia, to Ustadz Ashaari Maarij, S.Ag., M.M., Chairman of the DKM of Masjid Jami Baiturrohmah, Cicadas Village.

Astrid stated that the program served as a concrete manifestation of humanitarian solidarity and friendship between Azerbaijan and Indonesia, particularly during Eid al-Adha, a moment that emphasizes compassion, sacrifice, and sharing.

“Alhamdulillah, through the support of AIDA of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, OIC Youth Indonesia was able to distribute qurban meat packages to communities in need in Cicadas Village, Bogor Regency. We express our appreciation and gratitude to AIDA for the trust and support extended to us. May this assistance bring benefit to the recipients and help strengthen humanitarian solidarity between Azerbaijan and Indonesia,” said Astrid.

The second distribution point was held in Kampung Bunder, RT 03/RW 06, Cimanggis Village, Cicantayan District, Sukabumi Regency. The location was selected as one of the beneficiary areas as it is relatively far from the city center and has more limited distribution access, allowing the program to reach communities in need more broadly.

The qurban meat packages were handed over by M. Afdhal Alfarisyi, Vice Secretary-General of OIC Youth Indonesia and Director of the Santri Diplomacy Academy of OIC Youth Indonesia, to Mr. Usep Purnama, Head of RT 03/RW 06, Kampung Bunder.
Afdhal stated that the distribution in Sukabumi was part of OIC Youth Indonesia’s commitment to ensuring that the program’s benefits could be received directly by communities, including those in areas with more limited access.

“The distribution in Kampung Bunder, Sukabumi Regency, reflects our commitment to bringing tangible benefits to communities, including those located relatively far from urban centers. We hope these qurban meat packages can support the beneficiary families and serve as a symbol of care and friendship from Azerbaijan to the people of Indonesia, particularly in the spirit of Eid al-Adha,” said Afdhal.
This initiative reflects AIDA’s humanitarian solidarity with the people of Indonesia and OIC Youth Indonesia’s commitment to delivering meaningful assistance to communities in need, while further strengthening the bonds of friendship between Azerbaijan and Indonesia.
